Dr.-Poneh-Rahimi

Fellowship trained in Gastroenterology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Rahimi completed her Bachelor’s of Science degree with biology major from UC Irvine. She earned her medical degree from American University of the Caribbean, which included one year of training in the United Kingdom at Epsom General Hospital.

Dr. Rahimi completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at MCP-Hahnemann in Pennsylvania. She pursued a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Long Island College Hospital affiliated with SUNNY, Down State in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Rahimi has been involved in many research projects during her residency and fellowship leading to multiple publications in national scientific conferences.

After completion of Postgraduate training, Dr. Rahimi returned to Orange County, where she grew up. She has been serving her community of South Orange County Since2006. She is affiliated with Saddleback Memorial Hospital. She is a member of American College of Gastroenterology. She is a national speaker to promote awareness for colon cancer screening.

Dr. Rahimi’s main interests are general gastroenterology with focus on prevention of gastrointestinal cancers and weight loss in patients with gastrointestinal disease.
